NOTICE TO CONDUCT BUSINESS AT FIRST WOODBINE CHURCH CEMETERY Absolutely no business including any burials and memorial installations will be conducted at First Woodbine Church Cemetery without prior written approval from owners and/or New Operator of the First Woodbine Church an Independent Baptist Fellowship, Inc. Any violation of the above will result in criminal trespassing and removal of any burial or installation of memorials

First Woodbine Church Cemetery is the New Operator of the cemetery that has generally been known as the Woodbine Cemetery and that is located at 12914 Canova Drive, Manassas, Virginia 20112 and its adjacent properties.
Canova Land and Investment Company owns the land upon which the cemetery is located. Canova Land and Investment Company obtained title to the land by way of a Substitute Trustee’s Deed recorded in the land records on September 28, 2012. Upon the recordation of the Substitute Trustee’s Deed, Canova Land and Investment Company became the entity with the exclusive right, title to, and interest in the land on which the cemetery is located.
Canova Land and Investment Company has authorized the First Woodbine Church Cemetery (New Operator) to sell future burial plots, conduct in-ground burials, above-ground burials, dig graves for internments and any other related works including all types of memorials, dig foundations for any type of memorialization and installation of memorials and any other work and services related to operating of the cemetery. However, currently all and any such activities are temporarily suspended till further notice. First Woodbine Church Cemetery will be ready, willing, and able to enter into new contracts for plots and burials at a later date which will be announced. First Woodbine Church Cemetery is also in the process of finalizing its rules, regulations and fee schedule. Please note that First Woodbine Church Cemetery is a private church cemetery and no access to conduct any type of business will be granted without first arranging, obtaining permission and/or contracting with First Woodbine Church Cemetery.
The Woodbine Family Worship Center and Christian School, Inc., operated by Gene Wells and his family members and associates, previously occupied the land on which the cemetery is located. Canova Land and Investment Company did not authorize their access and Canova Land and Investment Company did not authorize them to sell burial plots / interment rights, deed land / issue certificates of ownership, or otherwise sell, convey, or encumber the land. Canova Land and Investment Company also did not authorize The Woodbine Family Worship Center and Christian School, Inc., operated by Gene Wells to sell any services or products related to graves, burials and memorialization within Woodbine Cemetery. Canova Land and Investment Company never received any monies paid for these services to The Woodbine Family Worship Center and Christian School, Inc., operated by Gene Wells and his family members and associates.
Canova Land and Investment Company has evicted the Woodbine Family Worship Center and Christian School, Inc. and Gene wells and his family members and associates from the property and has ended their illegal occupation of the property including the cemetery. It is our understanding that the Woodbine Family Worship Center and Christian School, Inc. and Gene Wells and his family members and associates may have entered into agreements and/or taken money purporting to convey a right that they did not have authority to convey or sell and, therefore, any such agreements cannot bind First Woodbine Church Cemetery and/or Canova Land and Investment Company.
First Woodbine Church Cemetery is currently undertaking an investigation to ascertain any and all rights, products, or services that Woodbine Family Worship Center and Christian School, Inc. and Gene Wells and his family members and associates may have sold or purported to sell.
First Woodbine Church Cemetery will review each future request for any type of service requested by any memorial company, funeral home, grave digger, or installer on a case-by-case basis. Anyone submitting requests for burials or installation of memorials will be asked to provide sufficient evidence of a contract for burial or placement of a memorial, to the New Operator’s satisfaction. Such documents may include, but are not limited to, an original burial land deed; proof of full payment of the burial land; proof of full payment of surface enhancement fees; perpetual care fee; or any other document or evidence as may be required by the New Operator. In case of absence of the original purchaser of the burial land, proof of kinship and legal guardian status shall be required to be produced. For abundance clarity, provision of all or any documents will not guarantee issuance of permission. First Woodbine Church Cemetery may honor or dishonor any unauthorized agreements in its sole and absolute discretion.
All previous permissions, rights, authorization, or approvals granted by Woodbine Family Worship Center and Christian School, Inc. and Gene wells (illegal occupants) are not valid.
