Eastern Memorials Celebrates America’s 250th Anniversary

Eastern Memorials dedicates Statue of Liberty display to celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary – a community tribute to freedom, service, and remembrance.

As our nation prepares to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America, Eastern Memorials is honored to dedicate a new Statue of Liberty display at its Manassas headquarters as a tribute to the ideals that have shaped our nation for nearly two and a half centuries. For over 30 years, Eastern Memorials has served families throughout Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C., helping to preserve the memories of loved ones through enduring granite memorials, bronze markers, mausoleums, cremation memorials, and custom monuments. Every memorial tells the story of a life that mattered. Every inscription preserves a legacy. Every family reminds us that history is written one life at a time. As a company dedicated to remembrance, we believe America’s 250th Anniversary is an opportunity to honor not only our nation’s remarkable history, but also the countless men and women whose courage, sacrifice, and commitment have preserved the freedoms we enjoy today.

The newly installed Statue of Liberty stands as one of the world’s most recognizable symbols of freedom, hope, opportunity, and democracy. For generations, she has welcomed millions seeking liberty and a better future. Today, she also stands at Eastern Memorials as a reminder that freedom is never free and that every generation has a responsibility to preserve it. This display is especially meaningful because it continues a tradition that began more than thirty years ago. Since Operation Desert Storm, the American Flag, the flags representing the branches of the United States Armed Forces, and the POW/MIA flag have flown continuously at Eastern Memorials. These flags have been personally maintained by owner Kevin Roustazad, reflecting his enduring respect for America’s veterans, active-duty service members, prisoners of war, those missing in action, and the families who have sacrificed alongside them. Throughout changing seasons, difficult weather, and the passing of decades, these flags have remained a constant symbol of gratitude, remembrance, and patriotism for everyone who passes along Sudley Road. The addition of the Statue of Liberty expands that tradition. It represents Eastern Memorials’ gift to the community as America approaches this once-in-a-generation national celebration.

We hope it becomes a place where families, veterans, students, visitors, and neighbors can pause for a moment to reflect upon the blessings of freedom and remember those who secured them. “Every day we help families preserve memories that will last for generations,” said Kevin Roustazad, owner of Eastern Memorials. “As America prepares to celebrate its 250th birthday, we wanted to create something that honors not only individual lives but the extraordinary story of our nation. The Statue of Liberty reminds us that freedom, opportunity, and hope are gifts that must be protected and passed on to future generations.” Eastern Memorials respectfully dedicates this display to the brave men and women who have served in every branch of the United States Military, the prisoners of war and those who remain missing in action, first responders who protect our communities every day, the immigrants who have strengthened our nation while embracing America’s ideals, the families whose hard work, perseverance, and love have built our communities, and to every American who believes in the enduring principles of liberty, equality, and opportunity.

As we look toward 2026 and beyond, Eastern Memorials warmly invites members of the community to visit, take a photograph with Lady Liberty, and join us in celebrating 250 years of American history. May this display remind us that while monuments preserve our past, it is our actions today that shape the legacy we leave for tomorrow.

On behalf of everyone at Eastern Memorials, thank you to our veterans, active-duty military personnel, first responders, and all those who continue to serve our country and our communities. God Bless the United States of America.
